Why the expensive mistakes are factual
A weak headline costs you some clicks. A price that doesn't match checkout costs you trust, refunds and sometimes a rejected ad. Most of these errors take seconds to catch and only get caught if someone is looking for them.
The 10 checks
Product
- The product on the image is the product the ad links to, in the right variant and color.
- The product details on the image (size, count, materials) match the product page.
Offer
- The price or discount matches checkout today.
- Dates, deadlines and exclusions are right and visible where needed.
Text
- Every word on the image is spelled right and reads at phone size.
- Story files keep text and logos out of the top 14%, the bottom 35% and 6% on each side (Meta Ads Guide).
Brand
- Logo, colors and fonts match the brand, and the logo is not stretched or cropped.
- The tone matches how the brand talks.
Copy
- Primary text, headline and description fit Meta's recommended lengths for the placements you use. Check with the free copy checker.
- Every claim in the copy is one the brand can back up.

The thumb test
Hold your phone at arm's length and scroll past the ad at normal speed. If you can't tell what is being sold and what the offer is in about two seconds, simplify the image or the headline.
Check product accuracy side by side
Open the product page next to the ad. Compare the image, the name, the variant and the price line by line. It takes a minute and catches most product errors.
A 5-question brand check
- Would the brand's own team recognize this as theirs?
- Are the logo and colors right?
- Does it sound like them?
- Does it avoid claims they haven't approved?
- Would they be comfortable seeing it next to their best ad?
Extra checks for generated or heavily edited images
Look closely at text inside the image (letters can be garbled), product details that were invented or changed, extra fingers or objects, and logos that look almost right. Compare against a real product photo every time.
Who should review, and when
Someone who did not make the file, after the last edit and before upload. A fresh pair of eyes catches what the maker reads past.

Where Duggie fits
At Duggie, a person on our team runs these checks on every file, in all three sizes and on every copy variant, before you see it.
Duggie makes static Meta ads for you: 20 custom creatives a month, each in Feed, Square and Story (60 files), with 5 copy variants each, so 100 ads to test. They arrive in 4 weekly batches, the first one the same day your subscription starts, usually within 1 to 2 hours. A person reviews every file, revisions are unlimited and usually back in 1 to 2 hours, and your first payment is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. It's $500/month, and you can start with 1 free ad before you pay anything. See pricing.
Duggie may not be the right fit if you need video, or more than 20 new concepts a month for one brand.
